Our Current Needs...Updated Regularly

April 13, 2018
We are still in need of quilts for Ohio. We have now all the men covered, so we need 16 more quilts for the women!

We are still in desperate need for quilters to step up and help Las Vegas.

February 5, 2018
It has been over a year since I asked to not have anything sent to Layers of Hope and that still stands.
However, I have not given up reaching out to our unseen silent heroes the 911 telecommunications people.
Quilts are still very much needed, but at this time, I would prefer them to be sent directly to the agencies listed below thus eliminating the need for the quilt(s) to be mailed twice.

Our need is great right now to get 53 quilts immediately to Las Vegas Metro Police and Fire Dispatch centers, these are 2 separate centers.

16 needed for fire right now and 50 for police.

Can you please step up and send them a quilted hug? When you do so, please let me know you have and send a card stating your name and state and that this comes from Layers of Hope - Quilting 911

Past News and Requests:
We were blessed to be one of the three charities this year for the Hands2Help charity quilt drive and received 28 quilts a nice box of scrap fabrics. I cannot thank you all enough and a special thanks to Sarah over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict who organizes this each year!

We could also use stamps. As much as it pains me to say this, Christmas is only 5 months away and last year I sent out over 100 cards to quilters and others who contribute to Layers of Hope-Quilting 911. This year, I see close to 250 cards going out.

If you can help us with this need, someone sent me a quilt with a very nice iron on cloth (no the plastic type labels), it had our logo on it, made by quilter & state, date quilt made, donated by Layers of Hope (blank space for date donated).
I could sure use something to place on quilts when I am sending them out and I cannot afford a large sum to purchase labels.  If you can make us a batch it would be awesome. I can pay a small amount, but under $40 would be great!
